Design and optimization of metal and other building structures, analysis of complex structural problems
Welcome to the professional website of Todor Vacev, PhD, full professor, Civil Eng.
With over 38 years of professional experience, prof. Vacev gained high expertise through work at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture (FCEA) of the University of Niš and as a designer at the MIN-INSTITUTE Niš.
During his career, he was the author of projects for dozens of objects, mostly metal structures, as well as a large number of expertise in the same field.
Prof. Vacev holds licenses for the design of all types of building constructions, including high-rise construction, low-rise construction and hydraulic engineering, as well as for architectural projects. His specialization includes the application of modern engineering software based on the Finite Element Method (FEM), which enables solving complex design problems and optimizing structures.
The results of the academic work are six published scientific papers as an author, and three as a co-author in prestigious international journals, as well as three professional books. He participated in numerous scientific meetings, making a special contribution in the field of stressed-skin concept design, wind engineering and optimization of metal structures.
