Education

1984 graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Niš, majoring in civil engineering. 
2004 obtained his master's degree from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture (FCEA), University of Niš, with the thesis topic "Modeling and optimization of nodal joint of steel space truss"
2009 obtained his PhD degree from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, with the thesis topic "Optimal solution of steel space truss nodes using nonlinear analysis"
2012 attended a seminar on the application of ANSYS software ANSYS in structural analysis.

Academic Career

From 2010 to 2023 teacher at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the University of Niš in the area of METAL STRUCTURES, with the last title of full professor.

During his university career, he taught undergraduate, master's and doctoral studies, as well as several courses for engineers and faculty teachers in the field of application of engineering software SDRC I-DEAS, FEMAP/NASTRAN and ANSYS. SDRC I-DEAS, FEMAP/NASTRAN i ANSYS.

He is the author of two textbooks and one monograph in the field of metal structures:

- Auxiliary textbook "Collection of solved tasks from metal structures" (2015)

- Basic textbook "Special metal structures" (2021)

- Monograph "Advanced FEM analysis of some structural solutions of steel halls" (2022).

Until 2023 he published six scientific papers as an author and three as a co-author in top international journals and dozens of scientific papers in domestic journals and at scientific conferences.

Participant in the projects of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.

Special fields of interest: stressed-skin design concept, wind engineering, computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

Professional career

From 1986-2010 employed at the MIN-INSTITUTE Niš as a designer and development engineer of metal and other engineering structures, with the application of modern engineering software.

From 2010-2023 employed at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Niš.

1991 passed the professional exam for a graduate civil engineer.

2004 became a member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers.

Holds design licenses:

- 310I0069019 - responsible designer of high-rise construction, civil engineering and hydraulic construction;
- 317797804 - responsible designer of building structures and architectural projects.

2012 became a member of the Committee for Standards and Related Documents KS U250-3,4,9 - Calculation of steel structures, coupled structures made of steel and concrete and aluminum structures, within the Institute for Standardization of the Republic of Serbia.

2016 became a member of the Society of Structural Engineers of Serbia.

2020 appointed by the Institute for Standardization of the Republic of Serbia as a member of the international working group at the European Committee for Standardization, CEN/TC 250 / SC3 / WG22, for the development of the European standard EN 1993-1-14 Design of Steel Structures - Design of steel structures — Part 1-14: Design assisted by finite element analysis.

Designer of dozens of objects, mostly in the field of metal structures, most of which have been executed.

Years of professional experience: 38.

Author and co-author of several expertises in the same field.

Succesfully applies the Finite Element Method (FEM) and top engineering software.
